Our assignment includes around thirty different types
of operation, including embankment raising, protection
against marine erosion, seafront development, and
beach nourishment. We therefore set up a team of
around twenty specialists in maritime hydraulics, civil
engineering and the environment from our offices in
Grenoble, Nantes, Paris, Lille and Bordeaux.
We are also working in partnership with ecologists,
landscape designers, legal experts and specialists
in agricultural economics. A major challenge with a
project of this kind is managing the multidisciplinary
team. Another is consulting the local residents who are
directly concerned by the development options chosen
and the underlying risks. A new adventure is underway
for the next 10 years, with a highly motivated team and
an exciting project that is strategically important for
the region in the present context of climate change and
rising sea levels.
