This growth has been achieved both by exporting services from Europe, in particular for major
river and port structures, and through the dynamism of our network of African subsidiaries.
Today, Artelia operates ten subsidiaries or offices in Africa (in Algeria, Ivory Coast, Egypt,
Kenya, Libya, Madagascar, Mozambique, Morocco, Rwanda and Tunisia). Traditionally strong in
the Maghreb region and in West Africa, our presence has been reinforced progressively in East
Africa. A major contributing factor in this respect was the 2015 takeover of the Belgian firm
Sher, which worked essentially in these regions.
The African continent offers real potential for Artelia, which can draw on its reputation,
technical prestige, solid experience of Africa and a wide network of local partners and
operational subsidiaries to deploy its full range of activities.
