Artelia decided to open an office in Ivory Coast in order to take part in the development of the Karine Desnos
country and sub-region, a geographical area in which the Group had been very active through Director, Artelia Ivory Coast
export services in the water sector in the widest sense. until 2020
I took up the challenge of opening our subsidiary Artelia Ivory Coast in Abidjan in September
2016, with the aim of bringing us closer to the domestic, Pan-African and international markets
and public and private clients.
Thanks to the longstanding expertise of the Group’s employees in the water, maritime, building
construction and environment sectors and to the recruitment of local staff, the subsidiary
today provides all types of assignment: assistance to owners, design studies and supervision
of works. Artelia Ivory Coast, which now employees 10 people, is poised to expand into the
region and continue the development it has already begun in the fields of industrial facilities
and transport.

Over the past 4 years, I have derived much personal pleasure from discovering Ivory Coast
and from working in a new ecosystem, with the support of experts from France, Morocco and
Belgium in particular, especially in helping to deal with the challenges facing this country and
our major private-sector clients, as well as in Guinea, Mali and Togo.
