From planning to design services and supervision of works, Sogelerg’s teams also developed
integrated engineering for large urban projects. This is clearly illustrated in the project to create the
Paris-Rive Gauche mixed development zone (150 ha), one of the largest urban development operations
in the Greater Paris region, which was launched in the 1990s and still continues today. Over the years,
Sogelerg/Thec/Artelia has designed and supervised construction of most of the developments for
this operation, collaborating with renowned architects. The merger with Sodeteg was also very
profitable in the field of complex buildings, where the Sogelerg teams enriched their knowledge with
new expertise that reinforced their position in hospital engineering and tertiary-sector buildings.
Together, they developed turnkey offerings for industry, as illustrated by the delivery in 2004 of a fully-
automated logistics distribution centre for Carrefour.
It is these engineering skills in the fields of transport infrastructure, complex buildings, planning,
design and construction supervision for urban development that Thalès ultimately sold to Coteba
            in 2006.
