Auxitec,
the Group’s industrial expertise
We acquired our independence in several stages. In 1994, a first LBO with aid from financial partners
allowed Auxitec to be bought from the Société Havraise des Pétroles, which wished at the time to split
off its engineering activity. Three other operations of the same type then allowed us to increase the
number of employee shareholders to the point that they held a majority stake.
During that period, we maintained the same core services dedicated to industrial facilities, focusing
on the performance of units and tools. The main challenge was to adapt to the increasing scale
and complexity of the projects. Large revamping operations, new investments, more and more
demanding compliance requirements, we completed all kinds of high-stakes projects. To do so, we
learnt to enable teams and experts scattered in different places to work together. We also continued to
extend our network, which reached 25 branch offices in France, and opened subsidiaries in Belgium,
Morocco and Switzerland. We also directed our attention to other sectors such as nuclear engineering,
pharmaceuticals, aeronautics and aerospace, a field in which we have moved towards new markets
involving the construction of highly sophisticated turnkey equipment.
